Brian MCd the eating contest again this year and it was quite disgusting. I didn't go last year but we caught some of it this year when the rain cleared and oh boy was it gross. The main event was the 13 lb hamburger contest. The patty was 10lbs with 3lbs of bun and extra toppings. The 4 guys at that table each had the giant burger to eat over the course of all the other events. They really didn't even make a dent in the burger. The winner ate just over 3lbs. The audience seemed to enjoy it but I just thought 40 lbs of hamburger! What a waste! At least Brian had fun. :)The fair had plenty of activities that Ryanna enjoyed. Our favorite was the children's farmers market. There is a trail with different stations for the kids. First was a garden where the kids plant a seed then pick a vegetable to put in their basket. Then they pick an egg from the chicken coup, ect. Below Ryanna is picking an apple from the orchard. Once their bucket is full they go to the farmer's market and trade in their goods for "money" to be spent at the store. The first day Ryanna bought herself an apple juice. On the second day she bought some fruit snacks. It was such a cute activity and fun for the kids.

What was the deal with the hamburgers? I saw some guys in there with 1 monstrous hamburger and some with a bunch of regular sized ones. Did you have to supply your own?
THe large hamburgers were the four in front. They had a full hour to eat as much as possible.
The little hamburgers were for the other eating contests going on in the background.
